Privacy Policy / Kebijakan Privasi Satu Cuaca

This Privacy Policy applies to the Satu Cuaca mobile application for Android and iOS, package/bundle identifier id.satucuaca.app, and the website https://cuaca.sqlite.my.id.

Satu Cuaca provides local weather, air quality, recommendations, and weather alert synchronization. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, how it is shared, and what controls are available to users.

Information We Collect

  • Location data: approximate or precise device location, including latitude and longitude, when the user grants location permission. If the user grants background location permission, Satu Cuaca may periodically collect location while the app is not open to keep local weather, air quality, and alert synchronization relevant to the user’s current area.
  • Device and app information: device model, operating system, app version, language, timezone, network/IP information, and diagnostic events required to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • User preferences: saved places, language, units, notification settings, and other in-app preferences.
  • Support information: messages, email address, and attachments sent by users when contacting support.

How We Use Information

  • To display local weather, air quality, traffic context, and recommendations.
  • To synchronize weather and air quality alerts for the user’s current area, including when background location has been enabled by the user.
  • To send location coordinates securely to our server for monitoring, synchronization, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
  • To improve app reliability, diagnose crashes, protect the service from abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use location data for advertising or cross-app/cross-site tracking.

Background Location

Background location is optional and only works after the user grants the required permission in the app and operating system settings. Satu Cuaca uses background location to periodically sync the device location so weather, air quality, and alert data stay relevant when the user moves and the app is closed or not actively used. Users can disable background location at any time from device settings.

Sharing and Service Providers

We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app, including hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, diagnostics, security, map/weather/AQI data providers, and support tools. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to Satu Cuaca. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our users, services, or legal rights.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law, security, audit, or dispute-resolution needs. Location sync records may be retained for monitoring, service operation, and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated when no longer needed.

User Controls

  • Users can allow or deny location permission from the app and device settings.
  • Users can disable background location at any time in Android or iOS system settings.
  • Users can manage notification permissions from device settings.
  • Users can request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data by contacting us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS for data transmission, access controls, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Children

Satu Cuaca is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Satu Cuaca after an update means the revised policy applies.
